Using ice won't work, you need to heat the area to open your pores. Some people use steam but this can cause burns if done improperly. Rinse a flannel in hot water and hold it over your face for a moment.


Try applying a dap of warm honey to the area and leave for 10 minutes or so or you can apply undiluted lemon juice to the area a few times a day.


To prevent blackheads:


Make an exfoliating facewash using oatmeal + boiling water. Once cooled add a bit of lemon juice or honey. Apply to face and then rinse with cold water.
